Skincare is such a big important factor to our wellbeing and selfcare. When your skin is radiant and glowing you feel amazing. Over the years I have had my very own battles with my skin, when I was 15 years old I started with acne. It really lowered my confidence and self-esteem, back then I didn’t really know how to treat my skin. I would buy supermarket acne products that would strip my skins barrier and leave my skin dry, flaky and still spotty.
Giving thanks is the best way to start your day. Be thankful for a fresh new day and your health. Also, at the end of the day it is important to look back on the day and give thanks for all the things that have happened (your car taking you places, your family, food).
Whilst I’ve lived with horrendous periods since I started them at age 11 and have tried my best to look after myself, the importance of self-care became even more important to me after receiving a diagnosis of endometriosis in 2016.
Anxiety and stress affect us all, we worry about the future and fret about the past. They are human responses, and not the most fun emotions, but emotions are fluid. Emotions, E-motions, are just Energy in motion. Nothing lasts forever and this too shall pass.
There are so many helpful techniques out there to help you calm your anxiety and ease stress, most of which centre around coming back to the present moment and focussing on the now. My personal go-to technique is using crystals.
During these times of less travel (we all know what time of life I’m referring to) I started off with a ‘Stay at Home’ style of doing exercise in my house while looking out of my window with good views of nature via sky gazing at the clouds and the birds and also looking at the trees and plants in my garden. Also doing gardening itself is Brilliant and barefoot walking on the grass (also known as Earthing or Grounding) is Awesome too and I have done this everyday during these tough times and for many years before too.
